FAQs
What does Ikamet membership actually include?
Ikamet membership includes structured immigration guidance, documentation review, application preparation support (where applicable), appointment coordination, and ongoing advisory assistance under current Göç İdaresi regulations.
Are government fees included in membership?
No. Government fees, visa fees, residence permit fees, biometric charges, residence card costs, insurance premiums, tax payments, notary fees, translation fees, apostille fees, and all third-party disbursements are always separate and payable per application. Turkish authorities or regulations set these costs, and they may vary by nationality, age, and permit type.
Does membership guarantee permit approval or duration?
No. Residence permit approval, renewal outcome, and permit duration are determined solely by the Turkish Immigration Authority (Göç İdaresi). Ikamet does not guarantee approval, renewal results, or the length of any residence permit issued.
If my permit is approved for less time than requested, what happens?
If the Immigration Authority grants a shorter duration (e.g., 6 months instead of 12), any subsequent renewal constitutes a new application and new government disbursements apply.
Is residency insurance included?
Where stated, standard annual residency insurance may be included within certain plans. If immigration requires coverage beyond the existing policy duration, an additional premium applies.
When are renewal fees charged?
Renewal processing begins only after written confirmation and issuance of a proforma invoice outlining projected government and service costs. Membership billing dates are separate from residence permit timelines and do not offset application disbursements.
Can I apply independently if I prefer?
Yes. Clients may handle applications independently at any time. Membership is advisory-based and does not obligate submission through Ikamet.
Do you provide legal representation?
Where applicable, licensed professionals and regulated partners assist with formal filings and legal processes. All advisory services are structured to comply with Turkish administrative regulations.
What makes Ikamet different?
Ikamet combines regulatory awareness, structured process management, and real-time immigration compliance updates. This reduces avoidable delays, documentation errors, and unnecessary rejection risks.
Can I upgrade or change my membership?
Yes. Membership plans may be upgraded at any time, with services adjusting to your selected level of support. Clients often upgrade due to marriage, children, or the need for additional immigration assistance.
What happens if a mid-cycle renewal is required?
If a shorter Turkish residence permit is issued by the Immigration Authority (Göç İdaresi), any additional residence permit renewal or filing within the same membership year is treated as a new application cycle. A reduced compliance and legal review fee applies, alongside applicable government fees, insurance premiums, and office processing costs.
