Turkey’s net minimum wage up 15 percent for 2020

Turkey’s monthly minimum wage is to increase for 2020, the government of Turkey said in a notice (Turkish).

Effective for 2020, Turkey’s gross monthly minimum wage is to be 2,943 Turkish lira (U.S. $494.63), up from 2,558.40 Turkish lira (U.S. $429.99) for 2019. The 2020 net monthly minimum wage after taxes and deductions is to be 2,324.70 Turkish lira (U.S. $390.71), up from 2,020.90 Turkish lira for 2019 (U.S. $339.65).

The government of Turkey generally adjusts the country’s minimum wage each year. The country’s Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services designates both a gross pretax minimum wage amount.
